Hong Kong – FC Barcelona has signed a sponsorship agreement with Chinese home appliance company Midea, which will become a Main Partner and Official Home Appliances Partner of the club starting from the 2026/27 season.
The five-season deal, running until the end of the 2030/31 campaign, was formalised on September 2 at the club’s offices by FC Barcelona first vice president Rafael Yuste and Midea International Business president Lewis Fu.
As part of the agreement, Midea’s logo will appear on the left sleeve of the FC Barcelona first team jersey, both during matches and training sessions, beginning on July 1, 2026.
“It will be an honour for FC Barcelona to welcome Midea, starting from the 2026/27 season, into the great Barça family. Its leadership in the field of smart home solutions and its commitment to research and innovation are perfectly aligned with the spirit of an FC Barcelona that looks to the future,” said Rafael Yuste, first vice president of FC Barcelona.
He added, “This alliance once again demonstrates the power of the Barça brand as a magnet for companies from around the world that see FC Barcelona as the best platform for their projects.”
Meanwhile, Lewis Fu, president of Midea International Business, commented, “FC Barcelona is one of the most successful clubs of all time and one of the most popular sports teams in the world. We look forward to a long partnership where Midea and FC Barcelona are the world’s No. 1 on and off the field.”
Sports sponsorship is kicking off lately this year, with Tiger Beer recently becoming the beer partner of football teams Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, all with a greater focus to boost fan engagement in Asia. Moreover, the McLaren Formula 1 Team has appointed Mastercard as its official naming (title) partner, beginning with the 2026 season, and will be rebranded as the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team.
