Singapore — McLaren Racing’s Formula 1 team has announced Mastercard as their official naming partner ahead of the 2026 season, setting the team to adopt the name ‘McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team’ next year.
Aiming to provide fans with more exclusive access and unique experiences, Mastercard also announced plans to launch a global initiative called “Team Priceless,” which will offer fans opportunities to get closer to the team and its events throughout the race calendar.
Through the expanded partnership, a curated series of activities on select race days, such as hot laps on the track, opportunities to meet drivers, and other experiences highlighting local culture in host cities will be conducted. Further details about “Team Priceless” and the application process are expected to be announced at a later date.
Ahead of this, Mastercard also hosted a fan event in Amsterdam on August 27, which included appearances by McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, along with live musical performances.
Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing shared, “There is no one more important to us than our awesome fans, so I could not be more delighted to enter this next chapter in our partnership with Mastercard with a promise to our Papaya Family around the world: that we will continue to put our fans first, bring them even closer to the team, and offer incredible experiences.”
On the other hand, Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer for Mastercard affirmed that the partnership has been grounded in putting the fans in the pole position, and naming Mastercard as the official naming partner took the commitment to the next level.
“McLaren Racing represents the pinnacle of innovation, precision, and performance, values that mirror our own as we push boundaries and deliver winning experiences. Collaborations like Team Priceless reflect those values and give fans plenty to look forward to for this season and many more,” he said.
It can be remembered that the Audi F1 team also announced a landmark title partnership with global fintech partner Revolut, an agreement set to also begin in the 2026 Formula One season.
Moreover, Singapore airlines also extended its title sponsorship for Formula 1 of the Singapore Grand Prix, a move designed to hold the team under the ‘Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix’ name until 2028.
