Australia – Andy Morley, most recently the director and head of marketing for APAC at Uber, has announced his departure from the company after over nine years of service with the company.
In a LinkedIn post, he said that it has been an incredible journey to experience the different phases of Uber across his time for the company.
“When I arrived back in 2016, we had no real marketing org, budget, plans or capabilities… just a group of ambitious young marketers ready to go-get-it. Since then, it has been a career-defining journey in helping build and grow the teams, brands and businesses across Australia and New Zealand, and then Asia Pacific, with so much to be proud of,” he stated.
He also thanked the people he worked with at Uber as well as Uber APAC’s agency partners in the statement.
“I’ve woken up excited to go to work every day for the past ten years. But in my heart, I know I’m ready for a new challenge, and so I’m now equally excited about the future ahead,” he added.
Andy joined Uber back in 2016 as head of insights, strategy, planning and driver marketing in Australia; then as head of marketing strategy, CRM, performance, strategy & insights in 2018. He then took helm of the position of the director of marketing at Uber & Uber Eats for ANZ in 2019. Prior to joining Uber, he spent five years with Diageo for marketing-related leadership roles.
