Indonesia – New data from YouGov has recently determined the top personal care brands in Indonesia, Hong Kong and Thailand; with Dettol, Pepsodent, and Nivea have emerged as the most considered personal care brands in these markets respectively.
In Hong Kong, Dettol topped the rankings with a consideration score of 36.8%, indicating that more than one in three consumers would consider buying the brand next. Dettol ranked first among all gender and age groups.
Colgate (Toothpaste) placed second with 33.6%, followed by Mentholatum at 29.4%. Vaseline (27.7%) and Dove (26.1%) rounded out the top five. The results suggest that established hygiene and skincare brands remain highly regarded among Hong Kong consumers.
Meanwhile in Indonesia, Pepsodent led with a score of 41.0%, performing strongest among consumers aged 35 and above. Wardah ranked second with 34.3%, reflecting continued support for local skincare brands. Lifebuoy followed in third place at 31.0%, while Dettol (27.2%) and Vaseline (26.1%) completed the top five.
The data indicates that hygiene-related products dominate consumer consideration in Indonesia, with local skincare brands gaining traction.
Lastly in Thailand, Nivea ranked first with a consideration score of 46.5%, maintaining strong appeal across genders and age groups. Vaseline followed at 42.5%, while Colgate (Toothpaste) came third with 34.7%. Sunsilk (33.8%) and Garnier (32.9%) rounded out the top five.
Thai consumers continue to show strong interest in international skincare and hygiene brands, though local brand TEPTHAI was also noted as an emerging name in the market.
