Hong Kong — Trend Micro Incorporated, a global cybersecurity leader, has been named an official partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team for the remainder of the 2025 season and beyond.
Matt Dennington, co-chief commercial officer at McLaren Racing, said: “It is fantastic to have Trend join the McLaren Formula 1 Team as an Official Partner.”
Trend Micro helps high-performance organisations such as McLaren Racing safeguard operational systems and sensitive data, ensuring secure and uninterrupted performance.
Their expertise was invaluable in supporting the team in electric racing and we’re excited to build on that strong foundation as we enter the next chapter together,” Dennington said.
Cybersecurity is now a critical element of modern motor sport, where milliseconds and data make the difference. The partnership unites two innovation-driven brands with a shared commitment to operating securely in fast-paced environments.
Kevin Simzer, chief operating officer at Trend Micro, said: “Partnering with McLaren Racing is more than a sponsorship; it’s about a shared mindset.”
As part of the partnership, Trend Micro will host customers and partners through unique experiences across the Formula 1 season, combining hospitality with access to the McLaren team and deeper discussions on cybersecurity innovation and leadership.
“We are both dedicated to being the best in our industries, pushing the boundaries of innovation with speed, security and customer-first experiences. Together, we will continue to lead with confidence in a fast-moving world,” Simzer added.
McLaren Racing’s Formula 1 team has also announced Mastercard as its official naming partner ahead of the 2026 season, with the team set to adopt the name McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team.
Mastercard will launch a global initiative, Team Priceless, to offer fans closer access to the team through curated experiences across the race calendar.
The development comes as Formula 1 continues to expand commercial alliances worldwide.
Alongside McLaren’s new naming partnership, Audi F1 revealed a landmark title sponsorship with Revolut beginning in 2026, while Singapore Airlines extended its title sponsorship of the Singapore Grand Prix until 2028.
