Samsung launches education programme to support digital learning in Philippine schools

Manila, Philippines – Samsung Electronics Philippines has introduced Samsung for Education, a new programme that combines education-ready devices, teacher development, and school recognition to support the country’s growing push toward digital learning.

The initiative comes as the Philippines continues expanding information and communications technology (ICT) adoption across schools through government-led digital education efforts.

Samsung said the programme is designed to help schools strengthen classroom technology integration while equipping educators with the skills needed to use digital tools effectively.

At the core of the programme are Galaxy Tab A Series and Galaxy Tab S Series devices, supported by productivity tools including the S Pen, Samsung Notes, and Galaxy AI.

Schools will also have access to Samsung Knox Suite Essential Plan, which provides device security and management to help protect student data and support secure digital learning environments.

Alongside its hardware offering, Samsung is introducing the Samsung Learning Hub, which delivers structured professional development for teachers through training modules ranging from foundational digital skills to advanced classroom strategies.

Developed with educational technology consultant C&E, the platform also offers educator certifications and learning resources for school leaders.

The programme also introduces recognition pathways for both educators and institutions.

Teachers can progress through the Samsung Certified Educator and Samsung Certified Innovator certifications, while schools can work toward recognition as a Samsung School or Samsung Digital Lighthouse School, based on their level of digital integration, professional development participation, and long-term use of Samsung technologies.

According to Samsung, the programme is intended as a long-term partnership model that goes beyond device deployment by combining technology, training, and ongoing support to help schools strengthen digital teaching practices.

Carl Nordenberg, Vice President and Regional Head of Mobile eXperience Business for Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania, said the initiative aims to create an ecosystem where educators and students can fully benefit from technology.

“Our vision is to help schools in our region prepare for the future, ensuring every learner feels empowered and every teacher feels supported.”

Samsung said schools interested in exploring digital transformation partnerships under the programme can contact the company’s education team directly.
