Singapore — Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has appointed Garth Turnbull as managing director for the Asia Pacific region, aiming to strengthen its luxury brand presence across the diverse market.
Turnbull described his main role: “I’m responsible for leading our iconic modern luxury brands across a diverse and dynamic portfolio of markets.”
As previous managing director of JLR Taiwan for nearly seven years, Turnbull will oversee JLR’s strategic growth and operations across 15 markets, focusing on enhancing customer experiences for Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, and Jaguar.
“With broad experience across the automotive sector and a track record in strategic and operational leadership, I bring a deep understanding of customer expectations, market trends, and the power of brand to drive sustainable growth,” Turnbull published.
He has also significant experience in the Asia Pacific with his more than two years experience as commercial manager for JLR from 2016 to 2018.
Since joining JLR in 2011, Turnbull has held key roles in Australia and the Asia Pacific office, gaining extensive regional experience.
He also affirmed his passion for exceptional client service, team leadership, DEI advocacy, and driving innovation and growth in modern luxury.
The appointment comes ahead of Pathamadai Balachandran Balaji’s CEO succession in November 2025, replacing Adrian Marden, who is retiring after 35 years with JLR.
