Singapore – Yubico has appointed Poupak Modirassari Enbom as its chief marketing officer, handing her the reins of global marketing and business development at a time when demand for stronger digital identity tools is climbing across Asia-Pacific.
The appointment places Enbom at the centre of the firm’s next growth phase.
She will oversee global marketing strategy, align closely with sales teams, and sharpen execution as the company looks to convert rising interest in passwordless security into revenue.
The move comes as cybersecurity spending ticks up from Singapore to Sydney, driven by a steady drumbeat of breaches and the spread of AI-enabled attacks.
Jerrod Chong, acting chief executive officer of Yubico, “As the threat landscape evolves with AI-driven attacks and increasing automation, organisations are rethinking how they secure digital identities of both humans and AI agents at scale.”
Enbom brings experience spanning both engineering and commercial leadership, having led global go-to-market teams across sales and marketing.
Her brief includes strengthening executive engagement and expanding Yubico’s position in hardware-backed authentication, particularly as passkeys gain traction.
The company has been pushing to position itself as a key player in the shift away from passwords, a model it argues is increasingly brittle in the face of phishing attacks.
“What stands out is not only the company’s innovation, but its deep commitment to customers to build open, trusted solutions that scale globally,” said Enbom.
She added, “I’m excited to join this mission-driven team and help more organisations and users to protect digital identities in an increasingly complex threat landscape.”
Beyond the leadership change, Yubico is leaning on its role in developing authentication standards such as FIDO2 and WebAuthn, which underpin many of today’s passwordless systems.
