Sydney, Australia – Cross-border payments firm OFX has appointed Liz Lord as chief marketing officer, handing her the task of sharpening its brand as the company pushes beyond its legacy payments business.
Based in Sydney, Lord joins at a moment when mid-market firms across Asia-Pacific are rethinking how they manage cash, currencies, and costs—often across fragmented systems that struggle to keep pace with regional expansion.
The move comes as OFX looks to reposition itself as a broader financial operations platform, bundling payments with spend management, accounts payable automation, and multi-currency account services.
Lord brings more than two decades of experience in payments and financial services marketing.
She previously served as CMO of PayPal Australia, where she led brand and commercial strategy, and most recently advised firms on growth and customer engagement through her consultancy.
Josh Goines, chief growth officer at OFX, said the appointment comes at a “pivotal moment” for the company, citing Lord’s experience in digital transformation and customer acquisition.
Beyond the hire, OFX is building out a product suite aimed at consolidating those functions. Its offering now includes global business accounts for multi-currency transactions, corporate cards with real-time spend controls, expense management tools, and accounts payable automation powered by AI-led invoice capture and approval workflows.
Integrations with platforms such as Xero and QuickBooks Online are intended to reduce manual reconciliation—still a sore point for many finance teams.
Headquartered in Sydney and listed on the ASX, OFX operates across more than 50 jurisdictions, offering payments in over 30 currencies.
