Singapore – Global trend forecaster WGSN has expanded access to its AI-powered fashion buying platform to buyers in Asia’s key markets, including India, China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.
The WGSN Fashion Buying Platform combines predictive analytics, AI modelling, and trend intelligence to help buyers validate assortments, optimise decisions, and align with future demand.
Asia, home to nearly 60 per cent of the global consumer class, is expected to add one billion consumers and US$15 trillion in spending by 2034.
Monisha Klar, director of fashion at WGSN, said the platform turns reactive planning into data-backed strategy.
With retail sales in Asia Pacific forecast to grow 24 per cent from 2023 to 2028, WGSN’s Asia Shopper Priorities 2025 report highlights the need for agility amid fragmented behaviours and cultural nuances.
“Buyers can now combine historical information with forward-looking forecasts to make smarter, more confident assortment decisions, while keeping human intuition at the heart of buying,” Klar said.
The platform’s core features include an AI-driven Assortment Builder, an Opportunity Calculator to identify market gaps, and CAD-ready files to streamline design collaboration.
By reducing unsold inventory and enhancing foresight, the WGSN Fashion Buying Platform empowers buyers across Asia to seize tomorrow’s opportunities.
