Japan – Swarovski has opened a new flagship store in Osaka, marking its 130th anniversary with a three-level retail space designed to showcase both its heritage and modern creative direction.
The store is located at 3-12-7 Minamisemba Chuo-ku, near the Shinsaibashi shopping district, one of Osaka’s busiest retail hubs. Each floor is designed with a distinct theme, blending immersive visuals with curated displays of Swarovski’s collections.
Conceptualised by global creative director Giovanna Engelbert, the interiors feature futuristic design elements and the brand’s signature colour palette. Textured surfaces and luminous details set the tone for a sensory-focused shopping experience.

On the first floor, dominated by shades of blue, a circular display table presents jewellery across Swarovski’s product families, organised by colour and inspired by the Swarovski colour wheel. The second floor, set against a yellow backdrop, highlights the Swarovski Created Diamond collection. The third floor, styled in pink, houses the “Heritage Corner”, where archival jewellery and collaborative designs illustrate the brand’s history and craftsmanship.
The top floor also features the Creators Lab, a space dedicated to brand collaborations. Its latest project is a partnership with Japanese streetwear label A BATHING APE®, blending Swarovski crystals with BAPE’s design signatures.

To commemorate the store opening, Swarovski Japan ambassador Shota Watanabe joined Swarovski CCO Ilse Roeffen and Swarovski Japan GM Masaki Suzuki for an inaugural ceremony. The event included a traditional Kagami-wari, the ceremonial breaking of a sake barrel, symbolising the start of new beginnings and shared good fortune.
