Singapore — Kallang Alive Sport Management has rebranded as The Kallang Group, with the Singapore Sports Hub adopting the new name The Kallang, signalling a renewed push to broaden sport, entertainment, lifestyle, and community offerings across the precinct.
Chairman Keith Magnus and chief executive officer Quek Swee Kuan unveiled the new identity at the Bank of Singapore Lounge at the National Stadium, joined by staff and more than 300 partners representing the precinct’s four pillars.
Since the 2022 government takeover, the precinct has expanded its event calendar and increased attendance, hosting global sporting events including the World Aquatics Championships and World Para Swimming Championships, alongside major concerts such as Lady Gaga’s exclusive Asia stop.
Community events like the National School Games and Majulah Fiesta have further strengthened its position as a focal point for national gatherings.
Magnus said, “The launch of The Kallang marks an exciting new chapter for us. Over the past three years, this precinct has transformed into a dynamic hub for world-class sport, entertainment and community life, hosting over 4,000 event days and welcoming more than nine million visitors.”
Magnus further added their vision of making The Kallang the ‘excitement epicentre’ of Singapore.
The rebrand draws on Kallang’s long-standing cultural resonance and its legacy as home to both National Stadiums, where iconic moments such as the “Kallang Roar” and “Kallang Wave” were born.
The precinct’s new tagline “Feel Alive” reflects its commitment to offering vibrant, community-centred experiences guided by the values of connection, vibrancy, excellence and leadership.
Countdown 2026 will be the first major event under the new name, featuring a concert headlined by Super Junior, family-friendly activities across the precinct and Singapore’s longest countdown fireworks display.
The Kallang Group also announced The Kallang Pass, offering one attendee the chance to win tickets to selected events in 2026.
A series of infrastructure upgrades will begin in phases from Q2 2026, including new alfresco dining concepts, refreshed family spaces, enhanced climbing walls and a sheltered padel ecosystem.
The mall will remain operational during the works and is expected to complete its revitalisation in 2028.
The Group will continue expanding its social impact efforts, having partnered more than 100 charities since 2023 to provide thousands of beneficiaries with access to live experiences.
Magnus also said that the organisation is exploring a philanthropic fund “to give donors and well-wishers a direct role in uplifting the communities we serve.”
The Kallang remains home to Singapore’s flagship sports and entertainment facilities, including the 55,000-seat National Stadium, the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the OCBC Aquatic Centre, the OCBC Arena, Kallang Tennis Hub, Kallang Football Hub, Kallang Wave Mall, and a host of community and outdoor amenities.
