Hong Kong – 50 Megumi, an anti-hair loss brand in Hong Kong, has partnered with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM and iProspect Hong Kong for a new campaign that incorporates themes from the Japanese anime to highlight men’s hair health.
Planned and executed by iProspect Hong Kong, the campaign draws on the cultural relevance of the Gundam universe, introducing limited-edition packaging for 50 Megumi’s men’s anti-hair loss shampoo and hair growth essence.
For this campaign, customers who purchase designated products during the campaign period will receive exclusive Gundam SEED FREEDOM collectibles, such as metal stickers and a camping mug.
The initiative combines IP collaboration with product marketing to appeal to a younger demographic.

Running from August 1, the campaign includes digital, outdoor, print, and influencer channels, ensuring widespread visibility and multi-touchpoint engagement. Its media rollout spans YouTube, social platforms, and KOL activations, with 50 Megumi also making its debut in the gaming space through Twitch and in-game video placements targeting light to medium gamers.
Polly Ip, business director at iProspect Hong Kong, commented, “This campaign reflects how we’re evolving our role—moving beyond media to unlock new commercial possibilities through IP collaboration. By tapping into dentsu entertainment’s network, we’re able to deliver more culturally relevant and high-impact brand experiences.”
Teresa Wong, general manager of sales & marketing at Mentholatum Hong Kong and Macau, added, “This campaign represents a new chapter for 50 Megumi. By collaborating with the iconic anime Gundam, we’re not only tapping into a beloved cultural symbol but also crafting meaningful, multi-sensory experiences that resonate with our audience.”
Wong continued, “From interactive OOH to immersive digital and gaming touchpoints, every element is designed to spark excitement, drive trial, and foster deeper brand affinity. It’s a celebration of self-expression, confidence, and the freedom to own your hair journey.”
