Hong Kong – Hang Seng Bank has unveiled major changes and strategic upgrades to its branch network, reinforcing its commitment to providing customers with reliable, professional, and welcoming banking services.

The latest development in this initiative is the opening of Kowloon’s first Prestige Private Wealth Centre at the Kowloon Main Branch in Mong Kok. The centre is part of a wider effort to enhance customer experience with upgraded facilities and new services.

The Kowloon Main Branch, which first opened in 1971 at 618 Nathan Road, is Hang Seng’s largest branch in Kowloon, covering approximately 30,000 square feet. It includes a mortgage centre and extensive safe deposit box facilities. The new Prestige Private Wealth Centre, located on the second floor and spanning roughly 3,400 square feet, is dedicated to high-net-worth clients and offers comprehensive, personalised wealth management services.

Alongside the Kowloon Main Branch, Hang Seng has relocated its Taikoo Shing and San Po Kong branches to more modern, accessible locations. The Taikoo Shing Branch, originally opened in 1979, has moved to Level 6 of Cityplaza 1, offering a more spacious, one-stop banking experience. The San Po Kong Branch, established in 1971, has relocated to the commercial building PORT 33, featuring a brighter, contemporary environment with foreign currency ATMs and Smart Tellers.

Meanwhile, the Tsuen Wan Tai Ho Road Branch is set to become the first pet-friendly branch in the New Territories by the end of November, allowing customers to bring their pets while accessing services. The branch will also add foreign currency ATMs by the end of December, joining the Hysan Avenue (Causeway Bay) and Festival Walk branches in Hang Seng’s growing pet-friendly network.

By year-end, Hang Seng plans to further expand its footprint with the opening of a Wealth Management Centre at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, providing tailored wealth management and advisory solutions for Prestige Banking clients. These moves highlight Hang Seng’s ongoing focus on improving its branch network and customer experience.

Rannie Lee, head of wealth and personal banking at Hang Seng, stated, “Our Kowloon Main Branch is strategically located at the heart of Kowloon. For over five decades, it has grown with the community we serve. By establishing our new Prestige Private Wealth Centre here and introducing the pioneering ‘We Come to You’ service in the banking hall, we are committed to meeting the evolving needs of our customers at every life stage and providing them with consistently warm services.”

He added, “We will continue to expand and optimise our network, delivering a ‘Future Banking’ experience through innovative services and products.”
