Taipei, Taiwan — Potato Corner, the flavoured fries brand from the Philippines, opened its first store in Taiwan.
The outlet is in the Uni-President Department Store at Taipei’s Xinyi District, close to major MRT and bus hubs.
The brand is part of Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures, Inc., one of the leading Philippine restaurant and food service groups, which acquired it in 2022.
The entry was made with Fujin Tree Group, a local lifestyle and F&B operator with 15 brands, including a Michelin-star restaurant.
Taiwan is now the 16th overseas market for Potato Corner, bringing its global store count to 2,345.
Founder Jay Wu said the partnership aims to make Potato Corner a favorite destination in Taiwan and confirmed more stores will open by year-end.
SPAVI president and CEO Vicente Gregorio called the move a milestone.
Gregorio said the group, together with Fujin Tree, is confident in building Potato Corner’s presence and creating more moments of joy for Taiwanese consumers.
