Manila, Philippines – Local cable channel Cignal has marked its 16th year celebrations with a new brand refresh, positioning the brand from a leading payTV provider into a full-fledged multimedia powerhouse—with a renewed commitment “to forge deeper connections among Filipinos through the stories they love.”
The anniversary celebration included the unveiling of a new logo, which Cignal describes as a bold symbol of its transformation. The redesigned brand identity reflects the company’s shift toward a multi-platform approach, aimed at delivering content in diverse formats to meet the changing preferences of Filipino audiences.
“Our new logo conveys our continuing evolution,” said Jane Jimenez-Basas, president and CEO of Cignal TV Inc. “We will continue to innovate and deliver the best content for our beloved subscribers across all our platforms. These are exciting times for us at Cignal, and for the people we serve–especially in more years to come.”
As part of its modernisation, Cignal highlighted several key products that represent its ongoing innovation in content delivery.
Among them is Cignal Play, which pioneered the delivery of linear TV content to mobile devices. The platform has since expanded to offer both live and on-demand access to local and international shows, including original vertical-format microdramas from Cignal Originals and its partner studios.
For sports fans, Pilipinas Live serves as the company’s dedicated streaming app for local and international sports coverage. It offers high-quality broadcasts, game previews, highlights, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content from top leagues including the NBA, PBA, and UAAP. The app’s interactive features—such as multi-channel viewing, in-game polls, and fan-submitted content—also aim to create a more immersive experience for users. Its Pilipinas Live Shorts segment provides an up-close look at the lives of Filipino athletes.
Expanding its digital footprint further, Cignal recently launched Cignal Super, the Philippines’ first streaming aggregator. The platform consolidates premium content from multiple providers—including HBO MAX, Viu, Lionsgate Play, Hallmark+, Curiosity Stream, Fuse+, Cignal Play, and Pilipinas Live—under a single subscription and login. The goal is to streamline the viewer experience by offering easy access to movies, series, sports, documentaries, and live TV from one platform.
Despite its expanding digital focus, payTV remains a core component of Cignal’s operations, delivering quality programming across the country via direct-to-home (DTH) satellite technology. Its partnership with PLDT has further extended its reach by enabling content distribution through IP and fiber networks.
