Singapore – The country’s Government Technology Agency (GovTech) has awarded to McCann Singapore its mandate for digital and social media management services, effective April 30 this year.
The mandate was completed following a competitive pitch that involved a dozen agencies, according to official tender documents.
Said appointment covers a one-year contract valued at approximately US$233,000 (SG$296,189), with an option for a further one-year extension.
As part of the mandate, McCann will lead strategy, content development and the day-to-day management of GovTech’s official channels across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube.
Its scope of work also includes content planning and production, community engagement, as well as the measurement and optimisation of paid media performance across these platforms.
Speaking to MARKETECH APAC, Liza Lorenzo, Social Director, McCann Content Studios, said, “We’re proud to continue our partnership with GovTech. This reappointment reflects the trust built over the past few years, and the shared progress we’ve made together.”
She added, “GovTech’s work touches everyday moments in the lives of people in Singapore, which means its social presence needs to be always-on, relevant, and native to the platforms where people already are. This next year is about continuing to grow together. We believe the strongest partnerships are built over time, through collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to serving people better, and we’re excited to deepen that work with GovTech in the year ahead.”
