Singapore – Club Med has officially unveiled the first-ever Club Med Padel Cup, a regional tournament series celebrating one of the world’s fastest-growing sports while marking the brand’s 75th anniversary.
“Padel is more than a sport–it’s a way for people to connect around a shared passion,” said Olivier Monceau, managing director of Club Med Singapore and Malaysia.
The tournament kicked off in Singapore with the Club Med Prime Open at the newly opened Prime Padel Dempsey, where 112 teams played 169 matches before nearly 1,000 spectators.
Champions Anais Gomar and Timote Loew will represent Singapore at the Grand Slam in Club Med Bali from November 6 to 9, competing with other national winners for the ultimate prize of a five-night stay at Club Med Marbella, Spain, along with exclusive Babolat gear.
“By introducing padel across our sun resorts, we celebrate the momentum behind this sport and open new opportunities for our guests to enjoy it. The launch of the Padel Cup reflects Club Med’s commitment to lifestyle sports and experiences that bring joy, connection, and freedom—that’s l’Esprit Libre,” Monceau elaborated.
The Grand Slam in Bali promises a mix of adrenaline-fuelled competition and rejuvenation, blending tournament matches with wellness experiences such as sunrise yoga and spa rituals against the backdrop of Nusa Dua’s cultural and coastal beauty.
Following Singapore, regional qualifiers are set in Seoul, Sydney, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur, leading to the climactic showdown in Bali.
With padel courts now available at resorts in Bali, Bintan, Phuket, and the Maldives, and more destinations on the horizon, Club Med cements its role in driving lifestyle sport tourism while reinforcing its position as the global leader in premium all-inclusive holidays.
