Singapore – Barilla is marking the month of August with a regional celebration of culture, food, and unity, unveiling two locally inspired initiatives for National Day in Singapore and Merdeka Day in Malaysia.
In Singapore, the Italian food brand is partnering with three homegrown food and beverage names—COLLIN’S®, PastaMania, and Twyst—to highlight the country’s culinary evolution and shared love for pasta. Each establishment reflects Barilla’s commitment to authenticity and local relevance.
COLLIN’S®, which began as a one-man hawker stall founded by Chef Collin, has become one of Singapore’s leading Western cuisine restaurant chains. PastaMania, established in 1998, is now Singapore’s largest Italian casual dining brand, offering hearty, family-friendly meals. Meanwhile, Twyst, launched in 2021 by local entrepreneurs Lester Goh, Koh Wei Chong, and Han Zhongchou, focuses on fast-casual pasta with more than 200 customisable combinations using Barilla products.
To commemorate SG60, Barilla is offering consumers a chance to redeem a Local Pasta Champions Dining Voucher pack worth S$25. From 4 July to 10 August 2025, customers who purchase Barilla pasta or sauces at participating outlets—FairPrice, Cold Storage, or RedMart—will receive vouchers for all three restaurant partners. Offers include S$6 off with two a la carte pasta dishes at COLLIN’S®, two complimentary carafes worth S$11.60 at PastaMania, and a free Mac & Cheese at Twyst with the purchase of two pasta dishes.
“For over 145 years, Barilla has brought families together around the dinner table. As we celebrate the upcoming festivities in Malaysia and Singapore, we are bringing the spotlight to our partners who are helping us bring communities together. We are dedicated to supporting those who, like us, believe in delivering authentic, high-quality experiences that unite people around the shared love of food,” said Melissa Chin, head of categories and marketing at Barilla South & South East Asia.
In Malaysia, Barilla is celebrating Merdeka through a collaboration with local fashion designer Christy Ng, known for her refined aesthetic and commitment to quality. Together, they’ve launched an exclusive limited-edition tote bag that blends Italian culinary tradition with Malaysian design sensibilities.
Christy Ng’s design is intended to reflect unity and cultural richness, encapsulating the Merdeka spirit. “Christy has designed this Merdeka piece to reflect the multicultural richness that defines Malaysian identity,” Barilla shared.
The tote bag bundle pack will be progressively available in stores from 14 July 2025 at selected retailers such as AEON, Isetan, Jaya Grocer, Lotus’s, Mercato, and Village Grocer. Available bundles include Barilla Spaghetti N.5 (500g) paired with either Barilla Basilico Sauce (400g) or Bolognese Sauce (400g).
Recently, Barilla joined Formula 1 as its official partner following signing a multi-year deal with the popular motorsport event. As an official partner, Barilla will have a strong presence both on and off the track and will encourage connection and the spirit of togetherness among fans, who will be able to enjoy dishes from the Italian brand’s Pasta Bars around the Paddock and in the prestigious Formula 1 Paddock Club.
