Singapore – Global brand practice Anak is turning up the heat on climate and creativity with HOT BODIES: A Heatwear Exhibition, opening on December 6 at New Bahru.
Supported by the SG Eco Fund and DesignSingapore Council, the immersive showcase will unveil ten pioneering creations exploring how fashion can help humanity adapt to rising temperatures.
Set against Singapore’s equatorial backdrop—one of the world’s most heat-savvy environments—the exhibition transforms climate anxiety into creative curiosity, asking how we might thrive, not just survive, in a hotter future.
“In Singapore, we’ve become an ‘air-con nation’, and I believe this is increasingly applicable to other nations across the world as temperatures continue to rise globally. However, hiding indoors just isn’t a sustainable option. It harms our health and the planet. Our research asks: what if we made heat our ally instead of our enemy?” said associate professor Jason Lee, director, heat resilience & performance centre at NUS Medicine.
The exhibition features ten innovative Heatwear pieces co-created by global designers including Jean Jullien, TANCHEN Studio, HARRI, and TMS.SITE.
Each reimagines the future of “looking hot”—from functional cooling accessories to speculative fashion concepts that make heatwear both protective and playful.
The exhibition will run from December 6 to 28, 2025.
“HOT BODIES is the natural continuation of Anak’s mission to showcase an Asian creative point of view to a global audience. As it becomes more relevant to the rest of the world, we thought it was time we asked how design can not only protect us, but also inspire new ways of living,” said Hanyi Lee, curator of HOT BODIES.
Visitors can also explore an Emporium of shoppable Heatwear, a Sunscreen Bar, and electrolyte Hydration Bar, alongside workshops and collaborations with Vogue Singapore, Moom Health and others.
“HOT BODIES is a thoughtful exploration of how design shapes the way we live in a time of rising temperatures and climate change,” said Jody Teo, director of marketing communications & outreach at DesignSingapore Council.
