Singapore – Global firm Weber Shandwick has unveiled a refreshed leadership structure and new creative muscle across Asia Pacific, marking another leap in the global communications agency’s earned-first evolution.
Corbin Hsieh has been appointed as head of Weber Create and Consumer Practice, APAC.
From his Shanghai base, Hsieh will lead the agency’s creative and integrated media offering, scaling its cultural influence across the region.
“My passion lies in the consumer side of business, where creativity and cultural understanding drive impactful work. I am thrilled about this role and eager to expand our earned-first creative and integrated media across APAC. Our goal is to connect culture, influence, and creativity to help brands succeed in a fast-changing world,” said Hsieh.
Succeeding him as acting managing director for China, is Robert Magyar, who will also continue as executive vice president, head of Healthcare, APAC.
Magyar has previously worked as Weber Shandwick’s senior advisor tasked with enhancing the strategic growth in the Asia Pacific region.
With more than 20 years of regional leadership experience, Magyar is set to steer Weber Shandwick China through its next growth phase.
“China is one of the most dynamic markets in the world, where reputation and stakeholder engagement are more important than ever. I am excited to build on our strong foundation here and continue supporting clients with the strategic solutions they need to succeed,” he said.
In another strategic move, Weber Shandwick is integrating Bridge Beijing, a boutique advisory firm renowned for helping international organisations engage with China.
The merger strengthens the agency’s public policy and advisory capabilities, blending Bridge Beijing’s deep local insight with Weber Shandwick’s global creative scale.
Tyler Kim, CEO, APAC, Weber Shandwick, said, “These strategic leadership appointments, along with the integration of Bridge Beijing, represent a significant milestone in advancing our capabilities and deepening our commitment in China.”
