Manila, Philippines – Vertiv has appointed Nico Echavarria as Director for Sales Management and Country Head for the Philippines, as the company looks to strengthen its presence in the local market.
Echavarria leads Vertiv’s market strategy and sales execution in the Philippines, aligning local initiatives with regional and global priorities. He is also tasked with strengthening engagement with customers and partners across sectors such as business process outsourcing, banking and financial services, healthcare, government, telecommunications, and enterprise.
The appointment comes as the Philippines experiences continued growth in digitalisation, alongside rising demand for resilient and energy-efficient critical infrastructure. Vertiv said Echavarria will play a key role in supporting organisations as they respond to increasing requirements for capacity, efficiency, and operational resilience, particularly amid the expansion of artificial intelligence and compute-intensive applications.
A seasoned leader in data centre and mission-critical infrastructure, Echavarria brings extensive experience in energy management and infrastructure solutions. He has worked closely with organisations to design, deploy, and operate environments that are scalable and sustainable, supporting both operational performance and long-term infrastructure development.
“Nico brings a strong understanding of the Philippine market and the critical role that infrastructure plays in enabling economic growth and digital services,” said Jordan Koh, Senior Director for Enterprise Sales, Emerging Markets, Vertiv Asia. “His industry experience and customer-centric approach will further strengthen Vertiv’s ability to support organisations operating in highly demanding environments, where reliability, efficiency, and continuity are non-negotiable.”
Prior to joining Vertiv, Echavarria held leadership roles at Schneider Electric Philippines and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In these roles, he led initiatives serving energy-intensive and mission-critical sectors, working closely with customers to address challenges related to power availability, operational efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure development. He has also built a track record of collaborating with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with both operational performance and sustainability objectives.
Commenting on his new role, he said, “The Philippines is seeing strong growth in sectors that rely heavily on always-on digital and physical infrastructure…I look forward to working closely with customers and partners to help them build resilient, future-ready environments that support their operations and the communities they serve.”
