Jakarta, Indonesia — McCann Studio Indonesia has been appointed as the social media agency for Unilever Foods in Indonesia, taking on responsibility for social content strategy, content production, and creator management across key brands including Bango and Royco.
The appointment, effective from July 2026, marks an expansion of McCann Studio Indonesia’s partnership with Unilever and strengthens its role across the company’s brand portfolio in the market.
A key feature of the collaboration is a new embedded working model, with the McCann Studio team operating directly from Unilever’s office to enable closer collaboration, faster decision-making, and stronger alignment between agency and brand teams.
Under the model, a dedicated team of social managers, content creators and multimedia designers will work alongside Unilever’s Foods division on a day-to-day basis. The team will also be supported by a wider creator network and AI-powered content production tools to help deliver content more efficiently.
The setup aims to create a seamless workflow from strategy and briefing through to content creation and execution, allowing the agency to function as an extension of the Unilever Foods team.
According to McCann Studio Indonesia, the partnership reflects a growing demand for closer agency-client collaboration as brands look to respond more quickly to changing consumer behaviours and social media trends.
Bellamia Agustina, General Manager of McCann Studio Indonesia, said, “Winning the Unilever Foods account is something we’re genuinely proud of – not just as a business milestone, but because of what it represents in terms of how we work.”
“We’ve always believed that the best creative partnerships are built on proximity and trust. The embedded model we’ve agreed on with the Foods team reflects exactly that. We’re not just an agency they brief remotely – we’re sitting alongside them, thinking alongside them, and moving at the speed their brands demand,” concluded Agustina.
Meanwhile, for Unilever Foods, the appointment supports its ambition to strengthen audience engagement through social-first content that aligns with how consumers discover, interact with and make decisions about food brands online.
“We needed a partner who could operate at that speed and complexity as an extension of our team. McCann Studio built their model around that. We’re excited for what we start building in July,” said Dinoy Alamsyah, Media Lead for Unilever Foods Indonesia.
The partnership will focus on creating content that is more responsive, culturally relevant and tailored to the fast-moving nature of social platforms, while helping Unilever’s food brands connect with consumers through creator-led storytelling and digital experiences.
