Bangkok, Thailand – Tero Radio, a Thai radio holding company operated by Tero Entertainment, is shutting down its operations after its 35-year run.
In a statement online, Tero Radio stated that their closure was in response to shifting trends in media consumption, and that they have faced significant challenges that have made it impossible for them to continue.
“We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported us throughout the years, as well as our incredible team, and all the listeners throughout the world who have enjoyed all of our stations over the past 35 years. Your encouragement and loyalty have meant the world to us,” Tero Radio stated.
The radio holdings company operates several radio stations, including Eazy FM 102.5, GoodTime Radio FM 88.5, Hitz Thailand, Star FM, TOFUPOP Radio, RAD Radio, and Rock on Radio.
Data from Media Intelligence Group has noted that radio ad spending for 2026 is forecasted to be at 2.292 billion baht, down from 2.388 billion baht in 2025.
It also previously reported that the advertising industry remains highly fragile, as “political turmoil” has weighed on advertising spending, compounding the pressure from ongoing digital disruption and low economic growth. As a result, advertising budgets have become “the first line” that business operators, brand owners and marketers cut when tightening costs.
