Manila, Philippines — Coca-Cola has launched the 2025 season of Coke Studio across the ASEAN and South Pacific region, with a renewed focus on science-backed production and immersive fan engagement.
Now in its ninth year in the Philippines and with established editions in Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea, Coke Studio continues to pair unexpected artists to create new genre-blending songs. This move places greater emphasis on neuroscience-driven beats designed to uplift listeners, alongside a reimagined live and digital experience for audiences.
Working with Universal Music Group and music technology company Music Health, producers used big data to analyse the attributes of uplifting songs, which were then incorporated into the foundations of this season’s tracks, with producer Styalz Fuego leading the process.
Teejae Sonza, Coca-Cola trademark category marketing head for ASEAN and South Pacific, shared how the season aims to move past creative boundaries and deliver fresh sounds that ‘truly resonate with Gen Z’s spirit and energy’, quoting that this has been their most experimental season up to date.
“Music has the incredible ability to connect people across cultures and generations. With Coke Studio, we’re not just creating tracks – we’re building bridges through unexpected collaborations that celebrate diversity and creativity,” Teejae shared.
Meanwhile, Brooke Pilton, general manager for partnerships at BRING – Universal Music for Brands, added, “With Coke Studio this year, we had an ambitious idea at the heart of composing a song designed to uplift. Through a close partnership with Music Health, the expertise of producer Styalz Fuego, and the incredible talent of this year’s line-up of artists, we’re delivering a deeply connective experience wherever music touches fans.”
In addition to the music releases, Coca-Cola has also announced a new phase of the Coke Studio experience, including pop-up performances, exclusive livestreams, behind-the-scenes content, and interactive promotions. These were designed to offer more direct engagement between artists and fans.
In the Philippines, the new season has featured girl group BINI for the track ‘Oxygen’, while in Australia and New Zealand, the studio has tapped Kita Alexander and Drax Project for its second season. Moreover, for Papua New Guinea, Demas Saul, Ragga Siri, Roxsy Rox, and Kali-D released the ‘Yumi Celebrate’ track, celebrating the nation’s 50th year of Independence.
Coca-Cola said the reimagined Coke Studio format aims to strengthen connections with younger audiences by combining experimental music production with broader fan experiences, both online and offline.
