Singapore – South Korean healthcare company Kwangdong Pharmaceutical has entered the Singapore market with the launch of its popular Vita500 vitamin range at local health and beauty retail stores. The move marks the company’s latest expansion outside South Korea.
Best known for its supplements and functional beverages, Kwangdong positions itself at the “intersection of wellness and contemporary lifestyle”. The company approaches wellness as a convenient and habitual practice, describing this philosophy as a “K-Vitamin” lifestyle.
“Vita500 has long been part of daily life in Korea, and we believe its familiarity, accessibility, and everyday usefulness will resonate strongly with consumers here,” said Irene Chiong, managing director of Cosbiz Holdings, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical’s official distributor in Singapore.
The brand also taps into the global appeal of Korean pop culture, naming singer and actress Yoona as its current brand ambassador. She is best known as a member of the K-pop idol group Girls’ Generation.
Vita500 products, including the Daily Stick vitamin C powder sachet and the Immune Shot, a liquid-and-tablet multivitamin, will be available at Unity and FairPrice stores across the state.
