Indonesia – The Ministry of Tourism has officially launched ‘Event by Indonesia,’ a digital platform that serves as a centralised hub for discovering events across the country.
Accessible via its official website and Instagram account, the platform offers information across seven event categories: Music, Creative, Culinary, Sports & Wellness, Arts & Culture, Carnival, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions).
‘Event by Indonesia’ covers a broad range of event types, including international, national, and regional gatherings; MICE events; and 110 activities under the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) program.
In addition to event listings, the platform features curated travel content highlighting nearby destinations—natural attractions, cultural sites, and culinary spots—positioning it as a resource for planning tourism experiences around events.
To strengthen public engagement, the initiative includes online-to-offline (O2O) activations at selected events, encouraging attendees to share their experiences on Instagram Stories for a chance to win prizes.
The platform also incorporates sustainability principles, aiming to balance festive celebrations with environmental and social responsibility. According to the Ministry, this approach supports broader goals of promoting quality tourism while minimising ecological impact.
The launch event was held at the Sapta Pesona Building on Monday, July 7, 2025.
During the launch, Vinsensius Jemadu, deputy for tourism products and event organisers at the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia, said, “The presence of Event by Indonesia is expected to simplify access to information for both local and international audiences, allowing them to enjoy the diverse and exciting events Indonesia has to offer.”
Jemadu added, “This platform is also part of our ongoing efforts to promote Indonesia as a top destination with high-quality events that support the tourism sector.”
