Singapore – Pokémon Center SINGAPORE, the city-state’s flagship Pokémon store at Jewel Changi Airport, will close temporarily from 1 April 2026 for a major localised revamp, the company announced on March 2.
The renewal, the first of its kind outside Japan, aims to weave Singaporean culture into the retail experience.
Fans can expect heritage-inspired installations, everyday local motifs, and an expanded selection of Pokémon merchandise when the store reopens in the third quarter of 2026.
A new Pokémon symbolic of Singapore will also debut alongside the refreshed layout.
The closure does not leave fans entirely disconnected. Pokémon will operate pop-up stores at Jewel Changi Airport and Plaza Singapura for three months, offering a curated assortment of official merchandise.
The temporary outlets will maintain familiar touchpoints for collectors and casual shoppers alike, ensuring continuity while the flagship undergoes its transformation.
Since opening in 2019, Pokémon Center SINGAPORE has become a magnet for locals and tourists, stocking video games, trading card games, plush toys, and bag charms.
The store has emerged as a niche hub for Singapore’s Pokémon community, blending pop culture with the island’s dynamic retail scene.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from our fans in Singapore,” said Shunsuke Sasaki, managing director of Pokémon Singapore.
She added, “This renewal marks a milestone in elevating the brand experience. The refreshed store will feature thoughtfully curated products, including limited edition items, and an enhanced design created to delight both long-time fans and first-time visitors.”
The revamped Pokémon Center SINGAPORE is slated to reopen in Q3 2026.
Updates on merchandise, store highlights, and experiences will be posted on the company’s website and Instagram account closer to the reopening.
