Bangkok, Thailand – UNICEF Thailand has held the UNICEF Blue Star Gala 2026 in Bangkok as part of its Kin Rai Dee #HungryForHope campaign, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about child nutrition and mobilising support to address malnutrition in Thailand and globally.
The campaign focuses on promoting better nutrition for children, providing parents with guidance on preparing healthy meals, and raising funds for children facing malnutrition in Thailand and in emergency situations worldwide. According to UNICEF, one in eight children in Thailand is stunted due to poor nutrition.
The gala brought together business leaders, public figures, celebrities, and philanthropists, and was co-hosted by Nualphan Lamsam, Busadee Chearavanont, Marisa Chearavanont, and Thapanee Techachareonvikul.
The event featured a collaborative dinner prepared by eight Michelin-starred chefs, highlighting the role of healthy, nutritious food in supporting children’s development. Beyond the gala, the chefs have also participated in the Kin Rai Dee campaign to help raise awareness of healthy eating and share practical nutrition tips for parents.
According to UNICEF Thailand, the organisation is also working with the Royal Thai Government to strengthen nutrition policies, including efforts to improve regulations around the marketing of unhealthy foods to children.
