Singapore – Interpublic group agency Golin welcomes Ian Willoughby as director within the agency’s healthcare practice, Golin Health in Singapore.

Located in Singapore, Willoughby will work across Golin branded agencies, and will be responsible for building the healthcare offering.

With healthcare communications expertise over 25 years, Willoughby has worked within major pharmaceutical companies, communications and medical education businesses in Singapore, the UK and Australia.

He was previously a general manager at McCann Health in Singapore, possessing an experience across a wide range of specialist, general practice and consumer health areas that led the development of award-winning and highly effective campaigns.

Willoughby’s industry experience has also seen him serve as chairman of the Healthcare Communications Council in Australia, helping to provide leadership in effective healthcare advertising and communications.

Singapore – Storyteller platform Viddsee has announced today that Derek Tan, co-founder, has stepped down from his operational role as Viddsee’s chief business development officer, and will be transitioning to a non-executive director role on the board.

Despite stepping down from his executive role, Tan will continue leading Viddsee’s future with his tenure and experience from his previous role, guiding the company strategically as a non-executive director.

Throughout his career, Tan has immensely contributed to the company’s growth and success. By focusing on strategic partnerships and business development initiatives, he played a substantial role in expanding Viddsee’s commercial offering, user base and strengthening its position in the industry. Australia – Digital creative agency Orchard has announced the appointment of Bridget Ash to the newly created role of content and activations director to bolster the agency’s content creation and engagement capabilities and end-to-end customer experience offering.  

Ash brings with her extensive experience and visionary leadership in content development and activations needed to spearhead Orchard’s next phase of growth.

After her departure from Orchard in 2014, Ash went on to hold positions in social and content in the UK at Digitas Health LifeBrands, OLIVER, Real Chemistry, and more. 

And now, she returns to Orchard after a six-year stint working with global consumer and healthcare brands across the UK, including AstraZeneca, Sanofi, Unilever, Novartis, and Janseen to name a few.

Singapore – Independent omnichannel supply side platform (SSP) Lemma has appointed Swaminathan Iyer as its director of connected TV (CTV) for Southeast Asia. Said appointment will further strengthen the company’s position as a critical player in the region’s digital advertising landscape.

Iyer’s appointment comes at a critical time of growth for the company as it expands its ad portfolio to include CTV alongside DOOH, making it available to clients in the region.

He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the digital and CTV space, having held leadership roles at DigiAdapt, Paramount, Yahoo amongst others.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Lemma, an independent SSP for DOOH, has appointed Reuben Lee as its director of sales and partnerships for its Malaysia office. In his new role, Reuben will be responsible for driving growth and strengthening partnerships with stakeholders including – advertisers, agencies and DOOH screen owners.

Until now Lemma has been working with over 30 clients and vendors in Malaysia from its India office.

Reporting into Gulab Patil, founder and CEO at Lemma as well Mayuresh Padhke, co-founder at Lemma, Reuben will use his extensive regional experience in expanding the digital OOH ecosystem in Malaysia as well as strengthening Lemma’s client base in this region.

Reuben joins Lemma from OMD Malaysia where he was the group business and growth director, responsible for client retention and new business development.

As the demand for the company’s programmatic DOOH solutions increases in Southeast Asia Lemma has been investing in strategic expansion in four key markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Earlier this year, the company had hired Swapnil Sambhus as the country head for Indonesia.

Singapore – Singapore-based global communications agency Redhill has announced its expansion into the United Kingdom, and appointing Loriann Luckings-Marwood as its director for its UK office. This follows months after its previous expansion to the Middle East and Africa in April this year.

Through establishing their presence in the UK and by tapping into the expertise of their global network, Redhill’s aim is to provide local clients with strategic communications solutions to enter new markets and expand their global footprint and global clients to enter and deepen their market presence in the UK.

Australia – Livewire, the global gaming marketing and gametech company, has officially launched its operation in EMEA, with its first office in London. This move comes after its launch in APAC six months ago,

The expansion aims to provide opportunities for brands who are understanding the importance of marketing to the gaming audience through a range of diverse opportunities, engaging a generation that is turning off traditional forms of media. 

Through this, Livewire will be able to provide gaming marketing and gametech solutions to EMEA brands and clients through the company’s experience, partnerships, and proprietary assets across research and insights, gaming strategy, esports, gaming talent, and in and around game advertising, as well as gaming audience solutions, and direct publisher opportunities.

Following this endeavor, Livewire has also announced the appointment of former Dentsu leads Luke Aldridge and Peter Jacobs as the new directors to lead the EMEA region. 

Aldridge and Jacobs the integrated gaming division DGame for global media agency Dentsu in London. Singapore – InMobi, an independent marketing cloud company, has recently announced the recent appointment of former executive from video advertising platform Unruly, Valerie Jaquet, as InMobi’s new director of agency and programmatic business in Southeast Asia.

She had a five-year stint at Unruly, where she stood as its vice president for programmatic sales in APAC. Prior to InMobi, she had also worked with global programmatic buying group Dentsu Amnet and media company FairFax. Overall, she brings in over 15 years of digital advertising and programmatic experience. 

Through her new role, Jaquet will be focused on leading regional growth and scaling InMobi’s agency and demand-side platform (DSP) partnerships as well as overseeing the company’s programmatic business and operations.

Speaking about her appointment, she said, “In today’s fast-paced connected consumer landscape, it is imperative for brands and marketers to leverage data and technology in the right manner. InMobi is doubling down on its efforts to build the future of marketing, adtech, and data and I am excited to be part of this change and looking forward to expanding our reach and foothold within Southeast Asia.”

InMobi’s latest appointments come as the Southeast Asian market is becoming a focus market for InMobi, with great growth potential on mobile marketing and programmatic fronts. This has been the case in their recent findings, where they note that mobile ad spending grew by 65% in the region.

Philippines – Philippine conglomerate ABS-CBN corporation which owns namesake media and broadcasting giant has announced that its chairman emeritus and director Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez has tendered his resignation. Lopez has also decided to step down effective immediately as acting director of the conglomerate’s subsidiaries: ABS-CBN Holdings Corporation, Sky Vision Corporation, Sky Cable Corporation, First Philippine Holdings Corporation, First Gen Corporation, and Rockwell Land Corporation. 

ABS-CBN said it held an organizational meeting today where the board of directors of the corporation has accepted with regret the resignation of Lopez

“We thank him for his dedication and leadership in expanding and transforming ABS-CBN beyond television through the years. Just like his father, Eugenio ‘Kapitan Geny’ Lopez Jr., Gabby is a visionary and a compassionate leader driven by his love for the Philippines and the Filipino people. He would always tell the men and women of ABS-CBN that being a part of the network is not a job, but a calling,” the board said. 

Lopez cited personal reasons for his resignation. According to the press statement issued by ABS-CBN, he expresses his appreciation for the trust of the stockholders as well as to his co-directors and senior management for the privilege of having served with them over the years.

The board of directors has elected today Mario Luza Bautista to fill the directorial position. Bautista, who is 66 years old, has served as the general counsel of the company and has been a member of the company’s board of advisors since 2011. He is also a board adviser of First Philippine Holdings Corporation.

ABS-CBN Corporation’s flagship media network has been shut down in May by the country’s National Telecommunications Commission due to its franchise expiry. Starting July, a number of its broadcast personalities has subsequently announced their resignation from the network.
