Singapore – Sitecore has announced a sovereign deployment of SitecoreAI and Content Hub in Singapore on Microsoft Azure, aimed at enabling organisations to run cloud and AI workloads while ensuring that customer data and operations remain within the country.
The deployment is designed to address data residency, low latency, and enterprise-grade security requirements aligned with Singapore’s regulatory frameworks. It also supports the objectives of Smart Nation 2.0, which was launched in 2024 to advance a more inclusive, trusted, and sustainable digital society built on the pillars of trust, growth, and community.
The move comes as organisations across Asia face increasing scrutiny over where their data is stored and processed, particularly in regulated sectors such as financial services, government, and critical infrastructure. Compliance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and contractual obligations often requires that sensitive data remain within national borders.
According to Sitecore, the Singapore deployment provides a SaaS platform that unifies content, personalisation, and governance across digital channels while enabling in-country AI processing. The company said this would help organisations deliver compliant and AI-ready customer and citizen experiences without moving data outside Singapore.
The announcement follows previous sovereign deployments of SitecoreAI in the Middle East and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to support customers operating under different regional regulatory frameworks.
“Singapore is a critical hub for digital services, and customers are paying closer attention to where their data lives,” said Eric Stine, CEO of Sitecore. “This deployment helps organisations in regulated industries meet Singapore’s requirements, and deliver experiences that are fast, secure, and built to meet local requirements.”
He added, “Sitecore’s commitment to sovereign cloud in the region unlocks an exciting opportunity for our clients to move beyond their competitors in how they can serve their customers while keeping sensitive work and data in Singapore.”
Meanwhile, Dave Tilbury, chief operating officer at Sitecore, commented, “Across Asia, data residency and security are often the deciding factors for whether organisations can move forward with cloud and AI. By launching a sovereign deployment of SitecoreAI in Singapore, we are removing a major blocker for teams that need to keep data in country and still deliver modern, AI-enabled digital experiences.”
He added, “It is a practical step that builds on our sovereign deployments in the Middle East and reinforces our long-term commitment to in-region capabilities.”
Sitecore added that its local presence could benefit public-sector organisations such as the Agency for Integrated Care and the National Healthcare Group, which are advancing digital solutions to enhance citizen and patient services. The company said the sovereign deployment would support these entities in adopting secure and compliant AI and cloud technologies within Singapore.
