Hong Kong – Sapporo, Japan’s oldest beer brand, has launched its first pop-up event in Hong Kong, inviting visitors to explore the legacy of the country’s first beer while enjoying an on-site premium tasting experience.
Held at the Tsim Sha Tsui K11 Art Mall Piazza, the “SAPPORO FIRST POP-UP BAR” features the brand’s signature black and orange design, paired with wooden elements to create a contemporary setting. A large-scale milestone wall traces Sapporo’s history, from the founding of the Kaitakushi Brewery in 1876 under brewmaster Seibei Nakagawa to its development as an internationally recognised brand.

Visitors can sample Sapporo beer at the venue and join a guided pouring activity to learn the golden 7:3 ratio of beer to foam. Participation requires following Sapporo’s official Instagram (@Sapporohk) or Facebook page (Sapporo Hong Kong) and liking the event post to redeem a voucher for the activity.

The first 25 participants each day who share their visit on social media with the event hashtags will also receive a limited-edition can-shaped beer glass, available in Hong Kong for the first time.
The pop-up event runs from September 16 to 28, 2025.
