Singapore – Global fintech firm Osome has named Rohan Chandhok as vice president of marketing, strengthening its global leadership team as it accelerates growth across key markets.
With more than 20 years of experience in marketing and entrepreneurship, he brings a unique founder-first mindset to the company.
Having bootstrapped his own business from zero to seven-figure revenues, Chandhok is experienced in terms of first-hand what small businesses need from their service partners.
“I joined Osome because I’ve lived the problem we’re solving. As a former founder who bootstrapped a business to seven figures, I didn’t enjoy the hours spent on financial administration when I should have been building the business,” Chandhok said to MARKETECH APAC.
“Earlier this year, I set up my fractional business with Osome’s help and became a customer. I’ve experienced the conveniences and challenges that customers go through. I intend to use those insights and shape the future of Osome’s business,” he recalled.
At Osome, Chandhok will drive marketing strategy and brand expansion across its 15-country footprint while keeping the company’s core mission at heart—helping over 30,000 entrepreneurs spend less time on financial admin and more on building what they love.
On his strategy in helping Osome flourish, he explained, “For a fintech company like Osome operating in the SMB space, I believe success requires a multi-layered approach that balances credibility and trust-building with aggressive growth tactics.”
“My team understands we’re building a category and we’re responsible for more than just demand capture. We’re focused on demand creation by way of actionable thought leadership from founders who used Osome to go global, more community building in source markets, more content about the macro trend of the future of work,” he stressed.
He eyes his leadership framework to ground on credibility, trust, relevance, and specificity wrapped around experiential sharing and learning.
Also, he stands optimistic in his new role’s success, “Success is establishing Osome as a category owner for AI enabled business management platforms for SMBs.”
Beyond his role, Chandhok mentors early-stage startups and marketers, championing his philosophy on how good marketing fuels value creation across the entire ecosystem.
