Singapore – Luxury lifestyle group ICON1C has announced the appointment of Michelle Ong as group partnerships director. Her appointment marks a key milestone as the group’s first hire, amplifying ICON1C’s mission to unlock creative opportunities for partners while delivering exceptional value to an exclusive global clientele.
ICON1C, backed by Catcha Group and founded by serial entrepreneur Patrick Grove, led alongside Ben Jones (Founder of Mandala Club), owns and operates a curated portfolio of businesses redefining luxury hospitality and private memberships, anchored by established brands such as Mandala Club and Amber Lounge worldwide.
In her new role, Michelle will drive strategic brand partnerships and new business development across ICON1C’s portfolio, shaping high-impact opportunities through its flagship events, premium spaces, and unrivalled access to its exclusive community and experiences.
Ong joins ICON1C from VOGUE Singapore, where she served as group commercial director for over five years. As part of the founding team that launched the luxury fashion title in the market, she was responsible for building VOGUE Singapore’s commercial strategy, forging key partnerships with top brands and agencies, structuring and leading the sales team.
With over a decade of experience in media and advertising, Michelle has held senior roles at Singapore’s most notable media titles such as Time Out, BURO., Robb Report, and NYLON Magazine, where she led sponsorships and integrated campaign solutions across print, digital, events, and special projects.
