China – Friso, a brand in infant and toddler nutrition, has teamed up with smart device maker Xiaodu and Publicis Media China to launch AI Audio Book 3.0—an upgraded storytelling tool designed to help families connect through interactive, AI-powered narratives.
Now in its third iteration, AI Audio Book 3.0 retains two core features from previous versions—“Child Integration” and “Parental Voice Narration”—while introducing new functions aimed at enhancing interactivity.
One feature, touch-activated animations, uses AI-based image recognition and response technology to allow children to tap storybook characters and trigger animations, adding a layer of engagement to the storytelling experience. Another feature, interactive doodling, encourages children to create their own visuals as they follow the story, promoting active participation and self-expression.
Together, these additions shift the experience from traditional storytelling to a more immersive and collaborative activity.
According to Xiaodu, the upgraded tool serves as a bridge between technology and family life in a fast-changing digital environment.
“At Publicis Media China, we are thrilled to partner with Friso as it transitions into the intelligent age and creates new ways for families to connect. By leveraging Publicis Media China’s deep expertise in market insights and consumer behaviour analysis, Friso is creating parenting products with deeper emotional connectivity to tackle modern parenting challenges,” shared Vivian Zhu, COO at Publicis Media in China.
The initiative reflects Friso’s ongoing efforts to develop tools that support parent-child engagement, particularly as China’s maternal and infant care industry undergoes an AI-driven transformation.
“This represents a deep integration of our brand vision, product innovation, and family values. With the help of AI, the role of the Friso brand is quietly shifting from being product providers to becoming true co-creators of the parent-child ecosystem. We are proud to unveil the latest iteration of our popular AI Audio Book 3.0,” said Jade Xue, CMO at Friso in China.
AI Audio Book 3.0 is now accessible through Xiaodu devices, a smart speaker brand developed by Baidu.
