Manila, Philippines – Top e-wallet in the Philippines GCash has announced that it will soon invest in the stock market, launching a new service called ‘GStocks’. This new service is similar to its GInvest service, except it will allow users to pick a specific stock they want to trade. Its soft launch will be in November 2022.
According to a report by ABS-CBN, the move comes after the partnership of GCash with the Philippine Stock Exchange and AB Capital. The new service was announced by PSE President Ramon Monzon and GCash President Martha Sazon, along with other officials on Tuesday, 20 September.
The report did not include details on fees and other information, as the e-wallet has not disclosed those yet.
In August 2022, GCash also launched its new digital wallet designed for youth ages seven to 17 years old. Called ‘GCash Jr’, the new e-wallet aims to provide a safe and reliable digital transaction experience that is fit for the ‘next generation’ of Filipinos.
