Singapore – COL Group, a microdrama and digital entertainment company, has appointed Timothy Oh as Chief Marketing Officer of FlareFlow while expanding its international leadership team as part of its global growth strategy.
Oh will continue in his current role as general manager for international business while taking on additional responsibilities overseeing global marketing, communications, strategic partnerships, audience growth, and international positioning for FlareFlow.
The company said the appointment reflects increased investment in international market development as FlareFlow expands its vertical-first entertainment strategy. This includes premium live-action productions, creator-led storytelling, branded entertainment, and the use of emerging AI-assisted production workflows.
Over the past year, Oh has led several international initiatives for the company, including the rollout of FlareFlow’s “Microdrama-in-a-Box” telco solution, expansion into international markets, creator partnerships, and the development of new vertical-first entertainment formats such as SupermodelMe.
The leadership changes come as FlareFlow moves into what it describes as “Vertical 2.0,” a strategy that combines international live-action productions, co-productions, creator-led projects, and selective AI-assisted workflows to broaden the reach of vertical-first entertainment globally.
As part of the initiative, the company said it is investing in international productions across North America, Asia, and Southeast Asia. It is also collaborating with partners including Shorts (Luni) to develop new cinematic formats and expand its content pipeline.
FlareFlow also continues to work closely with TikTok, where it has become one of the platform’s higher-performing microdrama content partners. According to the company, it generated more than US$2 million in revenue through TikTok microdrama collaborations in the first quarter of 2026.
In addition to Oh’s appointment, COL Group has named Jason Ander as Head of U.S. Partnerships. Ander previously held leadership roles at Hulu, Paramount, and TikTok, where he focused on strategic content and platform partnerships as well as growth initiatives within the digital entertainment ecosystem.
The company has also appointed Eileen Low as Head of Partnerships and Sales for Asia. Low previously worked with Disney and Canal+ Distribution, with experience in content partnerships and commercial strategy.
To further strengthen its international operations, COL Group said it will also onboard a new head of marketing and a head of content and operations in June.
“We’re seeing rapid global adoption of vertical entertainment, but the models that work in China and the U.S. will not necessarily work for every market,” said Timothy Oh. “Our focus now is building a more robust strategy across content, partnerships, localization, and accessibility to make vertical content more accessible than ever globally. The only way forward is change.”
“Timothy has played an important role in shaping FlareFlow’s global positioning and accelerating our international growth,” said Ray Tong, CEO of COL Group. “His leadership across partnerships, branding, innovation, and commercial expansion makes him well-positioned to help lead the next stage of our global ambitions.”
