Singapore – Singapore’s national football body is stepping up its outreach as the men’s team prepares for its next home fixture, following a milestone qualification for the AFC Asian Cup.
The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has released a new brand film aimed at strengthening public support for the Lions, as attention turns to their final qualifier against Bangladesh on 31 March.
The campaign centres on Gavin Lee, the men’s national team head coach, tracing his journey from youth football to leading the national side.
According to FAS, the film is intended to reflect the shared experiences of football fans in Singapore and highlight the sport’s role across different communities.
The move comes after Singapore secured qualification for the Asian Cup on merit, marking a notable achievement for the national team in recent years.
The upcoming match at the National Stadium will be the side’s final game in the current qualifying round.
FAS said matchday activities have been planned to encourage fan attendance and participation. Gates will open at 6pm, with pre-match programmes including fan zones, digital giveaways, and on-site jersey customisation.
From 7pm, in-stadium activities will include crowd engagement segments such as a live “Kallang Roar” noise meter, alongside a matchday draw and distribution of merchandise.
Performances by local artists, including Shazza before kick-off and Iman Fandi at half-time, are also scheduled.
Supporters attending the match will be able to collect commemorative items linked to the qualifying campaign, subject to availability.
A post-match segment featuring the national team and a pyrotechnic display is planned to conclude the event.
FAS said the campaign forms part of its broader efforts to build support for the national team and promote football development in Singapore. Tickets for the match are available via official channels.
