Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Kirin Brewery is setting its sights on Malaysia with the launch of KIRIN BREWERY SOUTHEAST ASIA SDN. BHD. (KBSEA), which will begin operations on October 1, 2025.
The brewer said the move aims to strengthen its foundations and tap into the growing thirst for alcoholic beverages in Southeast Asia.
The company also noted that the market has been buoyed by population growth and economic development over the past decade.
Until now, Kirin’s regional operations were managed from Singapore, but the new Malaysian entity will allow for swifter decision-making and closer engagement with local consumers.
Kirin Brewery affirmed that KBSEA will take charge of marketing strategies and brand initiatives while deepening ties with distributors.
The new unit will also broaden the product line-up, launch fresh offerings, and boost OEM operations to better serve evolving tastes and maintain a competitive edge.
