Singapore – Local F&B collective Prive Group has abruptly closed all of its restaurants across the country, according to an official statement posted by the collective on its Instagram page.
“We want to express our deepest gratitude to you – our loyal customers, dedicated staff, and trusted partners. Over the years. your support has meant everything to us, and it’s with great sadness that we must close this chapter. The memories we’ve created together wilt always be cherished,” Prive Group said.
In the statement, they stated that said decision has not come lightly, and after much reflection, they have concluded that the combination of external market challenges and rising operational costs leaves them with no viable path forward.
“Thank you for being part of our story, and for understanding as we navigate this incredibly tough moment. We remain hopeful for the future of the F&B industry in Singapore and encourage you to continue supporting the incredible homegrown brands that make our culinary scene so unique,” they added.
As part of this sudden transition, Prive Group said the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) has handed over the operations to Commonwealth Concepts from 1 September. There will be no disruptions in service and Ertipress remains open for visitors to the museum and the general public.
Meanwhile, the former Prive unit at ACM will be converted to a Baker & Cook outlet and will open on 4 September 2025. They will continue to fulfil theprior event bookings made with Empress and Prive ACM.
For context, Commonwealth Concepts is an established F&B player both locally and internationally, and has a diverse portfolio of leading brands comprising all-day dining concepts at hotels, fine dining restaurants such as Bedrock, ‘Kinki and Fat Cow, and casual eateries such as Baker & Cook, The Marmalade Pantry and PastaMania.
Prive Group’s closures follows a slew of business shutdowns in Singapore, including the move from Cathay Cineplexes to voluntary liquidation earlier this week.
