Singapore – Food and beverage company Yeo Hiap Seng (Yeo’s) is championing the ‘kampong’ spirit through a festive activation, celebrating SG60 with a sense of community. This August, Yeo’s is launching activities for Singaporeans, under the theme ‘Nourishing Our Nation.’
Yeo’s is set to launch a three-day activation where Singaporeans can play kampong games like chapteh, zero point, and five stones, among others. From August 22 to 24, Yeo’s is transforming One Holland Village into a playground filled with classic games.
Beyond being a throwback, Yeo’s is highlighting its values through the activation: resilience, connection, and kampong camaraderie.
Prior to the event, Yeo’s is hosting an Instagram contest, inviting Singaporeans to share their favourite childhood games and memories. Participants will get the chance to receive an SG60 Fun Pack.
The contest runs from August 11 to 18 via Yeo’s contest post on Instagram.
Yeo’s SG60 Fun Pack includes special-edition beverages aiming to kindle warmth and joy, embodying the kampong spirit. It includes flavours like Orchid Chrysanthemum Tea, Lion City Peach Brew, and Cheng Bou Long Herbal Tea.
The launch of the beverage collection is part of Yeo’s efforts to contribute to the SG60 celebration. Yeo’s first launched its National Day Fun Pack in 1991.
Alex Chen, head of marketing and business development at Yeo’s Singapore, said, “This SG60, we’re celebrating not just how far we’ve come, but the flavours, games, and everyday rituals that keep us united and grounded. Through our theme ‘Nourishing Our Nation’, we want to honour the joy of growing up in Singapore and the role Yeo’s has proudly played in that journey.”
