Global Storyblok, the content management system (CMS) in its category, has formed a partnership with Lokalise, an AI-powered translations and automatic localisation company. Through the partnership, AI-powered translations can be integrated into a site in order to localise content for users.

Companies like CoachHub use the Lokalise integration to quickly translate material in Storyblok into many languages, saving them 25% of the time they would otherwise spend on content management.

The partnership comes in line with the ongoing issue where companies are able to interact with clients globally, but most fail to make meaningful connections because they don’t prioritise localisation. Around 500 marketers participated in a global survey conducted by Storyblok, which revealed that 79% of businesses only use their CMS to distribute content in one to three languages. Remarkably, the largest percentage (35%) limits the language in which their content is published.

Concurrently, 43% of participants indicated that translating and localising content is important, while only 7% said it is not important. Around 81%of participants agreed that publishing information in multiple languages would improve their client acquisition efforts. Of those, 44% said it would be very helpful for their efforts.

AI is seen as essential in the endeavour to convert the need for localization into concrete outcomes, as demonstrated by the 90% of participants who said that they would be open to exploring its application for multilingual content translation within their content management system. By integrating AI-powered translations straight into the CMS, the Storyblok and Lokalise integration makes this shift easier.

Petr Antropov, co-Founder of Lokalise, said, “It’s fascinating to see the size of the gap between companies that offer their products and services in only one language (35% of the survey’s participants), and, say, half of Lokalise’s 3500 customers that run their offers in eight or more languages. Thanks to recent technological developments which made localisation no longer a challenge but an opportunity, that gap will not stay for long, and we’re excited to play a part in the change.”

Meanwhile, Barry D’Arcy, VP of partners at Storyblok, said, “Enterprises understand the value of translating their content, but many fail to prioritise it because the path forward appears to be unclear or overly complicated. Our partnership with Lokalise makes translation and localisation a natural part of content workflows. 2024 should be the year that more businesses finally take multilingual content experiences seriously.”

Australia – Storyblok, a content management system (CMS) category leader, has announced its recent affiliation with Bynder, a global digital asset management company, today, November 16.

Said partnership aimed at addressing several pain points marketers face on a daily basis to ensure brand consistency across a number of channels. It also intends to enhance market time and ease of distribution of assets from their DAM platform, directly in the CMS.

In relation, Storyblok conducted a global survey of 500 marketers, which revealed that an increased amount of assets and channels they are supporting leads to time-consuming asset management tasks and content mistakes.

Specifically, the findings showed that an average of 55% managed more than 1,000 digital assets in their asset manager. Only 8% support just one channel with their assets, 37% support 5–10 channels, and 18% support more than 10 channels.

In terms of asset management, 37% also spend 5–10 hours each month, and 27% spend more than 10 hours.

Meanwhile, managing access rights is the biggest pain point of asset management (24%), followed by finding and organising files (19%). 48% made a mistake in their asset manager that caused content problems (broken links, wrong versions of files, etc.).

With the increased demand for new content, 64% use AI to help create digital content very regularly or regularly, and only 11% never use it. 53% connect their asset manager to other marketing platforms, with 41% connecting it to 5–10 of them.

Brad Kofoed, SVP of global alliances at Bynder, said, “Storyblok’s survey highlights the challenges that organisations are facing in managing the growing volume, variety, and speed of content that needs to be created and distributed to support digital commerce. Increasingly, content is seen as a strategic business asset that enables organisations to deliver exceptional content experiences across complex omnichannel buyer journeys.

“Our partnership with Storyblok is a key integration that will aim to help teams with exactly that – providing content consistency, ease of distribution, and faster speed to market by making on-brand content directly available in the CMS,” he added.

Meanwhile, Barry D’Arcy, VP of Partners at Storyblok, also shared his thoughts about this, saying, “Assets serve as the fundamental building blocks for crafting digital experiences. Our collaboration with Bynder seamlessly integrates their top-tier enterprise digital asset management solution with Storyblok, enabling businesses to effortlessly leverage their entire asset library and restore order within the realm of content chaos.”

Through this integration, it has allowed seamless reuse of Bynder managed assets, has been released on the Bynder marketplace, and is also available to install through Storyblok. In addition, the teams will also be able to solve the complications of omnichannel asset management and content governance.

Australia – Digital product and venture studio Grade have teamed up with Storyblok to transform Compass, the Australian national elder abuse knowledge hub. This partnership has empowered Compass, a project of Elder Abuse Action Australia (EAAA) with funding from the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department, to effectively deliver valuable content and impactful digital campaigns in the fight against elder abuse, directly benefiting Australian elders, their families and surrounding communities.

Before engaging with Grade, Compass faced challenges with its website and struggled to provide a seamless user experience for its diverse audience, hindering navigation and content updates. To address these issues, EAAA sought Grade’s expertise to overhaul Compass’s digital presence.

Recognising the need for a user-centric approach, Grade took charge of the project, collaborating with multiple stakeholders and securing crucial Government approvals. The comprehensive solution included redesigned user experience, advanced CMS integration, content migration and optimisation, cloud-based hosting, enhanced search visibility, and ongoing support and innovation.

The implementation of Storyblok’s CMS empowered the Compass team to confidently deliver content and campaigns, driving greater engagement and raising awareness about elder abuse. Furthermore, Compass gained valuable insights into audience behaviour through advanced analytics, enhancing its strategic decision-making process.

Matt Bachle, CEO at Grade, said, “We couldn’t be happier to see the results that Compass is now experiencing as a result of our collaboration. By leveraging Storyblok, we empowered the Compass team to deliver valuable content and create digital campaigns that raise awareness about elder abuse, directly benefiting elders and the community around them.”

He added, “Having recently been made an official Storyblok partner agency, we look forward to working with Storyblok in the future as we continue to provide our clients with quality, human-centred digital experiences.”

Meanwhile, Barry D’Arcy, VP of partners at Storyblok, commented, “We are proud to partner with Grade in empowering Compass to address the critical issue of elder abuse. Our CMS enables Compass to efficiently manage content, engage users and raise awareness about this important cause. It’s exciting to see the transformation that Compass has achieved.”

Australia – Designer brand Paul Smith has partnered with enterprise headless CMS Storyblok to modernise and future-proof its website and customer experience.

Paul Smith’s team developed the new back-end internally, while eCommerce specialist agency Limesharp built the front-end, implementing Storyblok’s headless CMS technology.

Additionally, Paul Smith’s content teams are benefiting from more flexibility and are able to update designs and layouts, schedule content, implement bulk updates, and access data in multiple ways all by themselves.

Storyblok’s headless technology allows Paul Smith to connect its CMS with a vast array of external apps, such as Larevel for middleware, Magento for eCommerce, Cloudinary for digital asset management (DAM), and Klevu for search, product recommendations, and visual merchandising.

Paul Smith’s partnership with Storyblok comes as the team sets out to transform the way they approach and communicate with their customers, re-establish their brand, and rebuild their website to emulate the unique customer experience of their flagship store in Los Angeles. Most importantly, the business wanted a solution to future-proof its online business and help it remain relevant for the next fifty years.

Hannah Bennet, head of digital at Paul Smith, said, “When we decided to switch to a headless CMS, we had a lengthy review process of headless platforms, analysing Contentful, Prismic, and GraphCMS, among others. We wanted to find the right mix of composable architecture, easy integrations, ease of use, and flexibility.

She added, “We found that Storyblok was the most established vendor with great developer support. Storyblok also has some fantastic, unique features, such as the visual editor. It supports improved performance and provides our teams so much flexibility and freedom. It was an easy decision to make.”

Meanwhile, Dominik Angerer, co-founder and CEO at Storyblok, also said, “At a time of economic uncertainty, the role of flexible and efficient marketing with a high ROI is becoming increasingly important as businesses seek to respond to new requirements and trends with agility.”

“Our recent work with Paul Smith is a perfect example of this. The vast capabilities afforded by our headless CMS architecture enabled its legendary brand to achieve a new online look, recreating the customer experience from its unique physical stores. It also places the business in a good position to easily evolve its digital presence with new tech innovations,” he added.

Australia – Content management system (CMS) Storyblok was recently utilised by Spendesk, a fintech platform, to scale its website and consolidate all of its content into one CMS.

Previously, Spendesk used two CMSs to manage its content, but the developers experienced technical limitations and the content team could not edit or build pages quickly without breaking the website.

Upon experiencing this, they decided to migrate to a single CMS that met the needs of the marketing, development, and design teams and optimise both internal collaboration and the overall experience for clients.

After making the move to Storyblok, Spendesk reduced page creation time by 80%, experienced up to two times faster CMS speeds, and achieved a 25% smaller codebase by using dynamic pages.

Lionel Paulus, senior front-end engineer at Spendesk, said, “Pages that used to take hours to build now only take minutes with Storyblok. The Visual Editor gives our content team complete autonomy by delivering a live preview of the pages they’re working on. While our previous CMSs were expensive and didn’t provide the benefits we needed, Storyblok’s CMS capabilities deliver great value.”

Meanwhile, Dominik Angerer, co-founder and CEO of Storyblok, commented, “Spendesk’s experience proves that modern content requires future-proof ways to manage content with a CMS that is optimised for performance and works for every team.”

Australia – Local football club Sydney FC has tapped content management system (CMS) company Storyblok to create digital experiences to boost fan engagement amongst its club and reignite their enthusiasm.

For this partnership, the football club worked closely with Herbert Digital, a Storyblok Certified Partner, to build a digital stadium experience with Storyblok in 4 months.

Along with being the main source of content for everything about Sydney FC, the website features an ‘Experience Selector’ that enables fans to pick the best seats for their circumstances and the atmosphere they want to enjoy.

Sydney FC only planned to use the website for the initial return to the stadium, but after seeing this success and experiencing how easy and cost-effective it is to manage content with Storyblok, they decided to continue using it as their primary membership hub.

Jeremy Butler, head of consumer business, marketing and content at Sydney FC, said, “We were under intense time pressure to create relevant content for the website. The intuitive design of Storyblok was effective in allowing our content team to approach the project with minimal training.”

He added, “We, as marketers, can independently change the content without having to involve developers. This, combined with the ability to view changes in real-time, allowed us to achieve our objective ahead of the deadline.”

Meanwhile, Dominik Angerer, co-Founder and CEO of Storyblok, said, “Great digital experiences generate excitement far beyond the devices that they live on. Sydney FC has been able to use compelling content to drive action by their fans, leading to record revenue and attendance. This is a winning strategy, both on and off the pitch.”

Australia – Content management system Storyblok has announced its plans to expand to the US and the UK markets by next year. Despite the rapid expansion internationally, it will remain a fully remote company: all over 230 employees work across over 45 countries.

Storyblok will launch a US entity in January 2024 to continue supporting the explosive growth in the market. The company will also create a dedicated UK entity to establish its local presence later in 2024.

Some of the company’s clients include DIRECTV, Crunchyroll, Red Ventures, DW Drums, AppFolio, and BlackLine Systems; as well as US tech companies like Netlify and BigCommerce, and agencies such as Americaneagle.com, CI&T, and Royal Cyber.

Julia Doria, US sales director at Storyblok, said, “Our research shows that 75% of US businesses report improved KPIs, revenue growth, and productivity since switching to a composable, headless CMS. Even with those high satisfaction numbers, only 22% of US businesses are using a headless CMS for their content operations. The opportunity in this market is massive, and our success so far gives us a lot to build on as we help companies create better digital experiences.”

Meanwhile, Dominik Angerer, co-founder and CEO of Storyblok, commented, “Despite a difficult economic environment, our rapid growth in the US proves that businesses realise an investment in composable content management actually saves money. A Total Economic Impact study conducted by Forrester Consulting revealed that Storyblok provided a 582% ROI over a three-year period and paid for itself in less than six months. Results like that will continue to fuel our growth in the US and internationally.”

Switzerland – CHRONEXT, a luxury watch platform, has enlisted the services of content management system provider Storyblok to help enhance customer experience by developing an iOS mobile app that allows their marketers and developers to construct customised user journeys.

Realising that their content system was purely web-based, CHRONEXT decided to use Storyblok and was able to build their mobile app prototype in just 7 weeks. Since its launch, app session times have tripled from 2 minutes on their website to 5 minutes on their mobile application.

Other aspects that influenced CHRONEXT’s decision to choose StoryBlok included the fact that it is a headless CMS that allows them to provide omni channel user experiences, the ease of use for developers and marketers with comprehensive user management tools, and the ability to serve as a centralised hub for all content.

Speaking on the developments, Emanuel Schleussinger, CTO at CHRONEXT, said, “Storyblok opened possibilities for our marketing team to easily update product pages, create new campaigns and promotions for different markets, and engage with our customers.”

Cameron Crosby, team lead of website & digital innovation at CHRONEXT, also added, “With Storyblok, content teams can simply drag, drop, and update specific component pieces that make up a product detail page in our application within seconds, without having to redeploy the application to the App Store. Changes are reflected on user’s screens instantly without disrupting their purchase session.”

Meanwhile, Dominik Angerer, co-founder and CEO of Storyblok, commented, “CHRONEXT is a great example of a brand that understands the omnichannel benefits and possibilities of a headless CMS and uses that knowledge to build better customer experiences. They now have a centralised content hub that can grow with them as they expand.”

Australia – Local fintech HelpPay has tapped content management system (CMS) platform Storyblok to aid in the fintech’s brand visibility through a revamped website. This was also done in collaboration with local digital consultancy Revium.

Revium took charge of rebuilding HelpPay’s website on Storyblok. Leveraging Nuxt.js as the development framework, Revium integrated key components and performed essential integrations, including Segment by way of Customer.io for marketing automation workflows.

Rowan Wild, co-founder of HelpPay, said, “We chose Storyblok as our CMS because it is user-friendly, flexible and has the ability to seamlessly integrate with our website, mobile app and social channels. It allows us to easily create and manage our digital content in a centralised location, saving us time and resources.”

Meanwhile, Chris Newton, head of front end delivery at Revium, commented, “Given the nature of Storyblok as a headless CMS, coupled with the flexibility that the platform offers, we completed the rebuild in just over three weeks.”

Revium’s development team initially prioritised content-heavy elements, enabling the HelpPay team to populate the site whilst refining other components.

Dominik Angerer, co-founder and CEO of Storyblok said, “HelpPay’s website transformation journey exemplifies the value of embracing modern digital solutions. By leveraging Storyblok’s headless CMS, HelpPay has not only enhanced brand awareness but also created a seamless user experience for its customers.”
