Manila, Philippines — Effective July 31, 2025, the rural bank formerly known as SeaBank Philippines Inc. took MariBank Philippines Inc. as its new name, a change that is part of the integration into the Maribank Singapore Private Limited banking group.
In a statement provided on Facebook, the rural bank noted that, amidst the changed name, bank account use and overall access, as well as other products and services, remain functional. In addition to this, the bank also hinted at key updates in the coming months, including a refreshed app experience as part of the transition.
The statement, as noted by Siew Ghee Kung Lim, MariBank Philippines’ president, the bank will continue to communicate with its former name across all SeaBank channels.
“This change is part of our integration into the MariBank Singapore Private Limited banking group and our shared mission of providing simple, reliable, and rewarding banking services,” added Siew Ghee.
