Singapore — Nintendo Co., Ltd. has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary in Singapore as part of its plans to expand its business in Southeast Asia.
The new entity, Nintendo Singapore Pte. Ltd., was founded on September 26, 2025, with a capital stock of SGD 8 million, with Takahiro Miura appointed as its managing director.
According to the company, the subsidiary has been created to accelerate Nintendo’s operations across Southeast Asia, also confirming that it is considering setting up an additional entity in Thailand to further strengthen its regional presence.
Founded in 1889 and headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, Nintendo began with the manufacture and sale of Hanafuda playing cards and has since developed into a global entertainment company producing a wide range of products and experiences.
Currently, Nintendo has established its presence in the Southeast Asia region, specifically in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
