Singapore – Australian-founded marketing intelligence company Mortar AI has expanded into Asia with the opening of its first international office in Singapore, which will serve as the company’s regional headquarters.
The Singapore hub will oversee strategy, delivery, and market development across key markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, and India.
From this central base, the company aims to provide consistent measurement frameworks and operational standards, while adapting solutions to local market needs.
To lead its Asia operations, Mortar AI has appointed Shane Mitchell as APAC strategy director. Based in Singapore, Mitchell will be responsible for driving regional strategy and client partnerships.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology and media sectors, having held senior roles at digital and AI-focused firms including Exact AI.
Mitchell also said Mortar’s entry into Asia comes at a pivotal time for the region’s advertising industry.
“Asia has a dynamic and rapidly evolving advertising landscape, and Mortar is arriving at just the right moment. Business and marketing leaders now have a real opportunity to unlock new value by combining Mortar’s global platform with deep local insights,” he added.
“Welcoming Shane to lead our regional strategy ensures we have the experience and vision to deliver on that promise,” said James Zipeure, group CEO of Mortar AI.
The Singapore office will also serve as a blueprint for Mortar’s future international rollouts, with further expansion planned for 2026.
The move follows the recent appointment of former oOh!media chief revenue and growth officer and Yahoo APAC head Paul Sigaloff as global chief customer officer, a newly created role to accelerate the company’s global growth.
“By anchoring ourselves in Singapore, we can manage and support every key Asian market from one strategic hub,” said Zipeure.
Mortar AI provides a privacy-safe measurement platform that integrates marketing mix modelling, incrementality testing, and digital tracking. Its technology is used by clients in retail, automotive, and FMCG to connect data systems such as CRM, CDP, and advertising platforms.
