Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has announced new executive leadership appointments, naming Bryan Foong Chee Yeong as chief executive officer of airline business and Low Wen Long as group chief strategy officer, effective 1 February 2026.
The appointments were announced on 21 January and come as the Group progresses its Long-Term Business Plan 3.0 (LTBP 3.0), which focuses on growth across its core businesses and financial stability. Both executives will report to MAG’s President and Group CEO-designate, Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar.
In his new role, Bryan will oversee the strategic direction and performance of MAG’s airline portfolio, which includes Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and Amal. He previously served as group chief Strategy officer and was involved in the Group’s financial restructuring during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as its subsequent return to profitability. His responsibilities will include driving commercial performance, operational reliability, and customer-focused initiatives across the airline businesses.
Low Wen Long will assume responsibility for developing and executing MAG’s enterprise-wide strategy across its key business portfolios. He joined the group as head of corporate strategy in 2018 and has been involved in shaping the Group’s transformation under LTBP 2.0 and LTBP 3.0. His work has included long-term fleet planning, network optimisation, and other strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening MAG’s market position and supporting its growth objectives.

Captain Nasaruddin will formally assume his role as president and group chief executive officer on 1 February 2026. He will continue to be supported by Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri, chief executive officer of aviation services, and Philip See, chief executive officer of loyalty & travel services. The leadership team also includes recent appointees Amran Mohd Tomin as group chief people officer and Ong Min Hui as group chief transformation and customer experience officer.
According to the Group, the strengthened executive leadership is intended to support the execution of MAG’s strategic priorities across its three core business areas and reinforce its focus on value creation for stakeholders and customers.
