Manila, Philippines — Havas Ortega has promoted Gian Angelo Dela Cruz to the position of creativity and experience lead and strategy director, underscoring the agency’s focus on strengthening insight-led creativity and integrated brand experiences.
In his expanded role, Dela Cruz will lead the alignment of creativity and experience across the agency’s various disciplines. His remit includes fostering collaboration among strategy, media, data, PR, and creative teams to deliver cohesive, human-centred brand experiences.
He will also continue to oversee the Strategy & Insights Group, which guides the agency’s business, brand, and communications strategy using data-driven and culturally attuned insights.
Dela Cruz has more than 14 years of experience in advertising, having led campaigns for brands such as Sun Life, Big E Corporation, Philippine Airlines, Reckitt, and SM Retail. He has also co-led regional campaigns across Southeast Asia.
Since joining Havas Ortega in 2017, he has played a key role in shaping the agency’s strategic direction, producing award-winning work such as ‘The Kita Initiative’, and co-authoring thought leadership on Prosumer mindsets related to sustainability, health, and subcultures.

The appointment reinforces Havas Ortega’s ‘Meaningful Brands’ philosophy, which aims to bring together strategy, data, and creativity to deliver cohesive and human-centred brand experiences for clients in the Philippines and across the region.
Outside his role at Havas Ortega, Dela Cruz serves as a Subject Matter Expert at Certified Digital Marketer and has represented the agency in leadership and incubation programmes across Asia-Pacific, including Havas APAC Emerge and Havas Lofts Flex Singapore.
Most recently, the company has also named Raymond Dizon as its new general manager, head of business growth and experience. This is part of the agency’s efforts to strengthen its leadership team and expand its integrated Village model built on creativity, data, and experience.
