Singapore – Genting Singapore Limited has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay as chairman and director of Resorts World at Sentosa Pte. Ltd., effective 1 February 2026.
The appointment follows a recommendation by the nominating committee, with the Board satisfied that Tan Sri Lim has the qualifications and experience to assume the role at Resorts World Sentosa, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
As chairman and director, Tan Sri Lim will provide leadership to the Resorts World Sentosa Board and be responsible for its overall effectiveness in setting strategic direction and overseeing governance.
His responsibilities include ensuring sound corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards, providing strategic oversight of long-term objectives, major projects, and sustainability priorities, overseeing senior management performance and CEO succession planning, and ensuring robust risk management and internal control frameworks.
Tan Sri Lim has served as chairman of Genting Singapore since November 1993 and as executive chairman since September 2005.
He also assumed the role of acting chief executive officer of the company in June 2025.
