Indonesia – Allianz Indonesia has launched a new campaign for Allianz Preferred Medical, bringing back the iconic puppet character ‘Suzan’, a nostalgic figure closely associated with Indonesian childhoods in the 1990s.
Created with independent creative agency SALVO, the campaign revisits the well-known character from the “Suzan Punya Cita-Cita” song alongside Kak Ria Enes, which became widely recognised among Indonesian audiences during the 1990s.
The campaign contrasts the optimism and simplicity often associated with childhood dreams against the realities of adult life today, where rising costs, uncertainty, and health and financial concerns have become increasingly common. Through this narrative, Allianz Indonesia reframes Suzan’s familiar image to reflect the pressures and unpredictability faced by many adults.
Rather than using a conventional insurance-led approach, the campaign uses nostalgia as its central creative device, drawing on Suzan’s cultural familiarity among Indonesian millennials who grew up during that era.
Part of Allianz Indonesia’s #purelyforyou initiative, the campaign positions protection and medical coverage as support mechanisms that enable consumers to pursue personal goals with greater peace of mind amid changing life circumstances.
The campaign is currently running across Allianz Indonesia’s digital platforms.
