Singapore – UNIQLO will stage its first AIRism Cooling Station pop-up at Orchard Central from April 10 to 19, offering visitors a hands-on look at its cooling fabric technology in one of Southeast Asia’s most humid urban environments.
The activation places AIRism, UNIQLO’s innerwear line designed for heat and humidity, at the centre of an immersive retail experience.
Visitors can test the fabric’s breathability, moisture-wicking, and anti-odour features through interactive stations and installations built to simulate everyday discomfort—from crowded commutes to the midday heat.
At the pop-up, visitors enter a cooling zone lined with AIRism Cool Curtains, designed to showcase the fabric’s smooth texture and temperature-regulating properties.
The space doubles as a product display, featuring the full AIRism lineup, including innerwear, bra tops, and underwear tailored for daily wear.
“AIRism is a range that you have to experience to fully appreciate,” said Paulene Ong, marketing director at UNIQLO Singapore. “From parents purchasing it for middle and high schoolers to wear under uniforms, to adults wearing as an inner for a cooling experience, we hope that visitors can try on our AIRism range for themselves and discover how LifeWear can make their everyday lives a little more comfortable.”
To demonstrate these features, the pop-up includes interactive testing zones where visitors can assess how the fabric absorbs moisture and allows airflow.
The goal is to translate technical performance into tangible experience—a shift from traditional retail displays toward experiential engagement.
Beyond the installations, UNIQLO is offering on-site redemptions to drive participation. Visitors who complete the stations can redeem beverages, while students can receive selected AIRism apparel.
Additional promotions extend across UNIQLO stores in Singapore, tying the physical activation to broader retail conversion.
